What is this kayaking company doing for our environment?

Award-winning for on-going attempts to reduce their environmental footprint and to increase awareness of current challenges, Peak UK are constantly striving for improvement and development.

The Peak UK headquarters in Darley Dale, has also seen changes such as new energy-efficient LED lighting throughout all offices and workspaces, as well as a significant decrease in plastics and general waste; including milk delivered in glass bottles.

As well as all of this, PeakUK are also making an active contribution to rivers and waterways in and around the Peak District. By hosting regular river cleans and events, they hope to not only remove litter, but also combat access issues and raise local awareness of the importance of maintaining our waterways.

For 2020 many of their products, including all the new whitewater and touring jackets and leg-wear, will be made out of recycled fabrics. All plastic packaging has also been removed and replaced with recycled card hangtags, compostable hemp cord and paper tape.
